Engineering the Standard

Universal Quick Disconnects USA LLC (UQD-USA) was founded with a singular focus: to design, engineer, and manufacture universal quick disconnects for advanced liquid cooling systems in data centers.

As AI workloads drive unprecedented thermal demands, data centers are rapidly transitioning from air cooling to direct-to-chip liquid cooling. This shift requires a new class of interconnects—ones that can handle the pressure, temperature, and reliability requirements of hyperscale environments while enabling the serviceability that operators demand.

The UQD Series is our answer. Designed from the ground up to meet the Open Compute Project (OCP) Universal Quick Disconnect Specification, our couplings deliver drip-free disconnection, universal interoperability across vendors, and the durability to withstand thousands of connect/disconnect cycles.

Why Universal Matters

Historically, liquid cooling connectors have been proprietary—locking operators into single-vendor ecosystems and complicating maintenance, upgrades, and fleet management. The OCP UQD specification changes this by defining a standardized interface that ensures cross-vendor compatibility.

UQD-USA is committed to this open standard. Every coupling we manufacture is validated against the OCP specification and designed for seamless integration with any compliant system. One connector. Any vendor. True interoperability.

Our Approach

We don't try to be everything to everyone. UQD-USA focuses exclusively on universal quick disconnects for data center liquid cooling. This focus allows us to invest deeply in the engineering, tooling, and quality systems required to deliver best-in-class products.

Our manufacturing partners operate under ISO 9001 quality management systems and employ rigorous validation protocols including CMM dimensional inspection, 5,000-cycle mechanical endurance testing, burst testing, and pressure decay leak testing.
